Type: temple
Listener: Devī (Pārvatī)
Scene: Budha as a radiant, youthful deva-ascetic performs austerities near the Prabhāsa coast; before him a spotless liṅga is installed; Sadāśiva’s subtle presence appears as a luminous form above the liṅga.
Austerity and worship culminate in establishing enduring sacred presence for the benefit of future pilgrims.
Budheśvara Liṅga in Prabhāsakṣetra, founded through Budha’s tapas and installation.
Tapas (austerity), proper worship of Sadāśiva, and liṅga-sthāpana (installation) are indicated as the sanctifying acts.
