Transliteration

saṃyogajasya pāpasya haraṇāddhariṇī smṛtā | nadī puṇyajalopetā saptāhamavagāhanāt

Translation

Weil sie die Sünde fortnimmt, die aus unziemlicher Verbindung entsteht, wird sie als Hariṇī in Erinnerung gehalten. Dieser Fluss, erfüllt von heiligem Wasser, läutert durch siebentägiges Untertauchen.
