जन्मप्रभृति यो देवि नरो नेत्रविवर्जितः । मम क्षेत्रे मृतः सोऽपि रुद्रलोके महीयते
janmaprabhṛti yo devi naro netravivarjitaḥ | mama kṣetre mṛtaḥ so'pi rudraloke mahīyate
O Devī, selbst ein Mann, der seit der Geburt ohne Augenlicht ist—wenn er in Meinem heiligen Kṣetra stirbt—wird auch er in Rudras Welt geehrt.
Śiva (in Prabhāsa-kṣetra māhātmya context, speaking to Devī/Umā)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī (Pārvatī)
Scene: A blind devotee guided into Prabhāsa precincts; at death, a radiant escort leads him upward to Rudra-loka where he is honored—Śiva’s grace shown as light rather than physical sight.
The kṣetra’s grace is inclusive: even those lacking worldly capacities are promised honor in Rudraloka if they pass away in Śiva’s sacred domain.
Prabhāsa Kṣetra, described as ‘mama kṣetra’—Śiva’s own sacred field.
No ritual is prescribed; the focus is on the salvific merit associated with dying within the kṣetra.
