Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī
Scene: A liminal scene at Prabhāsa: a dying pilgrim on the shore/ghat is gently received by Śiva’s gaṇas; a radiant path leads to Śiva’s abode, while Śiva stands serene, indicating impartial grace to rich and poor alike.
The sanctity of Prabhāsa is portrayed as so great that even limitations of wealth or ritual competence do not obstruct the ultimate fruit.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, praised for granting passage to Śiva’s abode.
No new prescription; it asserts the tīrtha’s power irrespective of mantra-performance when death occurs there.
