ईश्वर उवाच । तं तथेति प्रतिज्ञाय गतस्तत्र द्विजोत्तमः । यथा वेदोक्तमार्गेंण सर्वं कृत्यं चकार सः
īśvara uvāca | taṃ tatheti pratijñāya gatastatra dvijottamaḥ | yathā vedoktamārgeṃṇa sarvaṃ kṛtyaṃ cakāra saḥ
Der Herr sprach: „Indem er zustimmte: ‚So sei es‘, und dieses Gelübde ablegte, begab sich der Beste der Zweimalgeborenen dorthin; und dem im Veda gebotenen Pfad folgend vollzog er alle erforderlichen Riten.“
