ईश्वर उवाच । एवं विध्वंसिते यज्ञे गतास्ते ब्राह्मणा गृहम् । अप्राप्तकामना देवि ये चान्ये तत्र वै गताः
īśvara uvāca | evaṃ vidhvaṃsite yajñe gatāste brāhmaṇā gṛham | aprāptakāmanā devi ye cānye tatra vai gatāḥ
Īśvara sprach: Als das Opfer auf diese Weise zerstört war, kehrten jene Brāhmaṇas in ihre Häuser zurück; und auch die anderen, die dorthin gekommen waren, o Devī, gingen fort, ohne dass ihre Wünsche erfüllt wurden.
