Transliteration

itihāsapurāṇāni bhidyante kāla gauravāt | skāndaṃ tathā ca brahmāṇḍaṃ purāṇaṃ laiṅgameva ca

Translation

Die Itihāsas und Purāṇas werden unter der Last der Zeit in Teile gegliedert; so finden sich auch das Skānda, das Brahmāṇḍa-Purāṇa und ebenso das Laiṅga (Liṅga-Purāṇa) in unterschiedlichen Einteilungen.
