Transliteration

nityaṃ cāśvāḥ priyāstasya karotyaśvāśca mṛnmayān | citre'pi ca likhatyaśvāṃścitrāśva iti cocyate

Translation

„Pferde sind ihm stets lieb: Er formt Pferde sogar aus Ton und zeichnet Pferde auch in Bildern; darum wird er Citrāśva genannt, ‚der mit den gemalten Pferden‘.“
