विधवा न कुले तस्य न वंध्या न च दुर्भगा । न कन्याजननी चापि न च स्याद्भर्तुरप्रिया । अष्टौ दोषास्तु नारीणां न भवंति कदाचन

vidhavā na kule tasya na vaṃdhyā na ca durbhagā | na kanyājananī cāpi na ca syādbharturapriyā | aṣṭau doṣāstu nārīṇāṃ na bhavaṃti kadācana

In ihrer Familie wird es niemals eine Witwe geben, keine Unfruchtbare und keine vom Unglück Heimgesuchte; auch keine Mutter, die nur Töchter gebiert, und keine, die ihrem Gatten missfällt. Wahrlich, die acht den Frauen zugeschriebenen Makel entstehen dort zu keiner Zeit.
