शीतलं कुरुते देहं बालानां रोगवर्जितम् । पूजिता भक्तिभावेन तेन सा शीतला स्मृता

Transliteration

śītalaṃ kurute dehaṃ bālānāṃ rogavarjitam | pūjitā bhaktibhāvena tena sā śītalā smṛtā

Translation

Wird sie in hingebungsvoller Verehrung angebetet, macht sie die Körper der Kinder kühl und frei von Krankheit; darum wird sie als Śītalā, die Kühlende Göttin, in Erinnerung gehalten.
