Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 17
शूद्रान्नेन द्विजो यस्तु अग्निहोत्रं जुहोति च । चण्डालो जायते प्रेत्य शूद्राच्चैवेह दैवतः
śūdrānnena dvijo yastu agnihotraṃ juhoti ca | caṇḍālo jāyate pretya śūdrāccaiveha daivataḥ
Und der Dvija (Zweimalgeborene), der das Agnihotra mit Śūdra-Speise darbringt — nach dem Tod wird er als Caṇḍāla geboren; und schon hier in dieser Welt wird seine rituelle „Gottheit“ zum Śūdra, das heißt herabgesetzt.
