Mit dem Praṇava (Oṃ) soll er auch alle übrigen gebührend verehren—die Ṛgveda und die anderen Veden. Die Gāyatrī ist das höchste Mantra, die Mutter der Veden, die Strahlende.
Skanda (deduced)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: A symbolic tableau: the syllable Oṃ above a lotus; four Vedas personified as venerable sages receiving worship, while Gāyatrī appears as a radiant goddess holding a rosary and water-pot.
Oṃ and Gāyatrī summarize Vedic spirituality—honouring them is presented as honouring the whole Vedic revelation.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, where this mantra-centered worship is prescribed as especially meritorious.
Worship the Vedas (Ṛgveda etc.) through the Praṇava, and uphold Gāyatrī as the central mantra of the rite.
