Skanda (deduced from Dvārakā Māhātmya narrative convention within Prabhāsa Khaṇḍa)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A moral tableau: a pilgrim caravan is blocked by a wrongdoer; sages admonish him, showing the weight of the offense; alternatively, a contrasting scene of locals helping pilgrims to emphasize the dharma.
Harming a pilgrim’s sacred journey is treated as a grave moral offense, comparable to betrayal and guru-harm.
Within Dvārakā Māhātmya, the admonition protects the sanctity of yātrā to Dvārakā and the Gomatī tīrtha.
No positive rite is prescribed; it is a strong prohibition against obstructing or breaking a pilgrimage.
