Type: kshetra
Listener: Brāhmaṇa audience / householders by implication
Scene: A small homa-kuṇḍa burns steadily; a devotee offers ghee-drenched sesame into the flames each day. The fire is tended carefully with ritual implements, while winter cold is present but the devotee refrains from using the sacred fire for warmth.
Ritual acts must be intention-pure: sacred fire is to be served as worship, not as a tool for personal comfort.
The practices are given within the Dvārakā–Gomatī tīrtha framework of the Dvārakā Māhātmya.
Perform daily homa using sesame soaked in ghee, and keep the fire solely for homa purposes.
