Transliteration

svargārohaṇaniśreṇī vahate yatra gomatī | sā purī mokṣadā nṛṇāṃ dṛṣṭā vipravareṇa hi

Translation

Dort, wo die Gomātī wie eine Treppe zum Aufstieg in den Himmel fließt, ist jene Stadt, sobald sie vom vortrefflichsten Brāhmaṇa erblickt wird, wahrlich eine Spenderin der Mokṣa, der Befreiung, für die Menschen.
