उत्तरायणसंक्रांतौ लिंगपूरणकेन हि । शिवरात्रौ विशेषेण संपूज्य उमया सह । रात्रौ जागरणं कृत्वा परमं लोकमाप्नुयात्

Zur Uttarāyaṇa-Saṅkrānti erlangt man durch das Ritual des „liṅga-pūraṇa“ (das Liṅga füllen/vollenden) und besonders in der Nacht der Śivarātri, indem man (Śiva) zusammen mit Umā verehrt und die Nacht hindurch wacht, die höchste Welt.
