अथाऽब्रवीच्चिरं दृष्टस्त्वया पुत्रो मम द्विज । ततो हसितवान्भूयः किमिदं कारणं वद
athā'bravīcciraṃ dṛṣṭastvayā putro mama dvija | tato hasitavānbhūyaḥ kimidaṃ kāraṇaṃ vada
Da sprach er: „O Brahmane, lange hast du meinen Sohn betrachtet. Und dann hast du wieder gelacht — sage mir, was ist der Grund dafür?“
