एतस्मात्कारणादस्य निग्रहोऽयं मया कृतः । मनसा न च वाक्येन न च केशव कर्मणा

etasmātkāraṇādasya nigraho'yaṃ mayā kṛtaḥ | manasā na ca vākyena na ca keśava karmaṇā

„Aus diesem Grund habe ich ihm diese Zügelung auferlegt; doch, o Keśava, nicht aus persönlicher Bosheit handelte ich — weder im Gedanken, noch im Wort, noch in der Tat.“
