Type: temple
Scene: Close focus on a ghee lamp with many red wicks; flames gradually consume threads while a timekeeper marks muhūrtas; the devotee watches with steady bhakti; a subtle vision of future auspicious lives is hinted in the background.
Devotional offerings generate enduring merit; the text poetically links the lamp’s burning to prolonged auspiciousness across lifetimes.
The Sāvitrī-devī sacred setting in Nāgarakhaṇḍa, Adhyāya 192, where the dīpadāna is offered.
Offer a ghṛta-dīpa (ghee lamp) with multiple wicks/threads; the longer it burns, the greater the stated saubhāgya fruit.
