इदमेव त्वया तन्वि मां जित्वा गृह्यतां सुखम् । ततः प्रवर्तितं द्यूतं शंकरेण सहैव च
idameva tvayā tanvi māṃ jitvā gṛhyatāṃ sukham | tataḥ pravartitaṃ dyūtaṃ śaṃkareṇa sahaiva ca
„O Schlanke, da du mich besiegt hast, nimm eben dies ganz leicht und in Freude an.“ Darauf wurde das Würfelspiel in Gang gesetzt, mit Śaṅkara selbst als Spieler.
