Type: kshetra
Scene: A teacher-like figure admonishes a devotee in the Himalayan Kedāra setting: abandon pride and anger; the devotee sits composed, eyes lowered, in reflective steadiness.
Spiritual progress requires mastery over pride and anger, cultivated through discernment and truth-oriented understanding.
Kedāra (Kedarnath) is the larger tīrtha context in Kedāra Khaṇḍa, where inner discipline heightens the fruit of pilgrimage.
The verse prescribes an inner discipline—abandoning māna and krodha—rather than an external rite.
