सत्यं वाच्यं नित्यमैत्रेण भाव्यं कार्यं त्याज्यं नित्यमायासकारि । लोकेऽमुष्मिन्यद्दिनं स्यात्तथास्मिन्नात्मा योगे येजनीयो गभीरैः
satyaṃ vācyaṃ nityamaitreṇa bhāvyaṃ kāryaṃ tyājyaṃ nityamāyāsakāri | loke'muṣminyaddinaṃ syāttathāsminnātmā yoge yejanīyo gabhīraiḥ
Wahrheit soll man stets sprechen; immer eine freundliche Gesinnung pflegen; und Handlungen aufgeben, die fortwährend Mühsal und Unruhe bereiten. Wie der Tag in dieser Welt vergeht, so gestaltet er die nächste—darum sollen die Weisen das innere Selbst durch tiefes Yoga verehren.
