कुशोदकाद्गंधजलं तस्मात्तीर्थोदकं वरम् । तीर्थेभ्यश्च जलं दर्शे महीसागरसंभवम्

Transliteration

kuśodakādgaṃdhajalaṃ tasmāttīrthodakaṃ varam | tīrthebhyaśca jalaṃ darśe mahīsāgarasaṃbhavam

Translation

Besser als Kuśa-Wasser ist duftendes Wasser; noch erhabener ist Wasser aus einem Tīrtha (heiligen Übergang). Und höher als gewöhnliche Tīrtha-Wässer ist das Wasser, das am Neumond erscheint, geboren aus Erde und Ozean.
