क्षमया च महाभागा क्रोधमण्वपि नाकरोत् । ततो गोमायुरूपेण तमदूषयदाश्रमम्

kṣamayā ca mahābhāgā krodhamaṇvapi nākarot | tato gomāyurūpeṇa tamadūṣayadāśramam

Doch jene edle Frau brachte durch Nachsicht nicht einmal eine Spur von Zorn hervor. Da nahm er die Gestalt eines Schakals an und entweihte jene Einsiedelei.
