Narrator (contextual; Māheśvara-khaṇḍa discourse)
Scene: A host respectfully welcomes arriving sages/guests: offering water, a seat, and courteous gestures; the guests, serene and satisfied, prepare to speak their heart’s purpose.
Atithi-dharma—proper honoring of guests—creates harmony and becomes the doorway for righteous counsel.
No tīrtha is directly praised in this verse; it focuses on dharmic hospitality within the narrative.
Hospitality practices—svāgata (welcome), āsana (offering a seat), and satkāra (respectful service)—are implied as dharma.
