दन्ताश्चलाश्चला लक्ष्मीर्यौवनं जीवितं नृप । चलाचलमतीवेदं दानमेवं गृहं नृणाम्
dantāścalāścalā lakṣmīryauvanaṃ jīvitaṃ nṛpa | calācalamatīvedaṃ dānamevaṃ gṛhaṃ nṛṇām
O König, die Zähne sind wankend, das Glück (Lakṣmī) ist wankend, Jugend und Leben sind wankend. Da man wohl weiß, dass hier alles schwankt und vergänglich ist, soll der Mensch dāna, die Gabe, üben; ebenso ist auch das menschliche Hauswesen an sich unstet.
