कार्तिकस्य चतुर्दश्यां विश्वेशं यो विलोकयेत् । स्नात्वा चोत्तरवाहिन्यां न तस्य पुनरागतिः

kārtikasya caturdaśyāṃ viśveśaṃ yo vilokayet | snātvā cottaravāhinyāṃ na tasya punarāgatiḥ

Wer am vierzehnten Tag des Monats Kārtika Viśveśa erblickt und im nordwärts fließenden Strom badet, für den gibt es keine Wiederkehr (zur Wiedergeburt).
