Transliteration

hitopadeṣṭā hitakṛdahitātyahitaḥ sadā | rūpavāñchīlasaṃpanno guṇavāndeśakālavit

Translation

Er lehrte das Heilsame, tat das Heilsame und blieb stets fern vom Schädlichen. Von schöner Gestalt, von guter Lebensführung, tugendreich und kundig in Ort und Zeit, war er ein Vorbild.
