Gautama
Tirtha: Rāmanātheśvara at Setu
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śrī Rāmanātheśvara (addressed)
Scene: Gautama rishi reveals a ‘gūḍha rahasya’: devotees worship at the Lord’s feet; another group serves those devotees—offering water, food, and guidance—both bathed in temple lamplight.
Taking refuge at the Lord’s feet and serving His devotees is presented as a ‘secret’ and sorrow-destroying path.
Setu/Rāmeśvaram, through direct praise of Śrī Rāmanātheśvara.
Bhajana at the Lord’s feet (pāda-mūla) and sevā (service), especially service to devotees.
