व्यास उवाच । तथेत्युक्त्वा तु सा देवी प्रहस्य कुलदेवता । वधोपायं विचिंत्यास्य भक्तानां रक्षणाय वै
vyāsa uvāca | tathetyuktvā tu sā devī prahasya kuladevatā | vadhopāyaṃ viciṃtyāsya bhaktānāṃ rakṣaṇāya vai
Vyāsa sprach: „Nachdem sie ‘So sei es’ gesagt hatte, lächelte jene Göttin—die Schutzgottheit der Sippe—und ersann ein Mittel zu seiner Vernichtung, zum Schutz ihrer Verehrer.“
