चखाद शिर उत्कृत्य विप्रपुत्रं दुराशयः । अथ साध्वी कृशा दीना विलप्य भृशदुःखिता

cakhāda śira utkṛtya vipraputraṃ durāśayaḥ | atha sādhvī kṛśā dīnā vilapya bhṛśaduḥkhitā

Jener Übelgesinnte riss dem Sohn des Brahmanen den Kopf ab und verschlang ihn. Da klagte die keusche Frau – abgemagert und elend – überwältigt von Kummer.
