namaste devadeveśa umāvara jagatpate | arghyeṇānena me sarvaṃ daurbhāgyaṃ nāśaya prabho | iti arghyamantraḥ
Skanda (introducing a liturgical mantra; deduced)
Tirtha: Revā (Narmadā)
Type: tirtha
Scene: A devotee offers arghya before Śiva (Umāvara), hands cupped around a vessel; the prayer for destruction of misfortune is visually suggested by dark clouds dispersing above the shrine.
Misfortune is overcome through surrender and reverent offering to Umā–Maheśvara, the cosmic Lord.
The verse is a universal prayer within the Revā Khaṇḍa’s Narmadā-region ritual context, not a site-specific praise in itself.
Recite this arghya-mantra while offering arghya, requesting the removal of daurbhāgya (ill-fortune).
