Though it is not a direct injunction about Liṅga worship, its placement in the Rudra Saṃhitā (Satī Khaṇḍa) frames the preceding account within Śiva’s saguna līlā-context, where devotion, dharma, and divine testing ultimately point back to Śiva as the supreme Pati.
As a concluding marker, it implicitly supports the Purāṇic practice of śravaṇa (devotional listening) and smaraṇa (remembrance); a fitting takeaway is to conclude reading with a brief Śiva-nāma-japa such as the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
