सतीसंक्षेपचरित्रवर्णनम् — Summary Description of Satī’s Narrative

तच्छुत्वा देव देवेशः क्रोधं कृत्वा तु दुस्सहम् । जटामुत्कृत्य महतीं वीरभद्रमजीजनत्

tacchutvā deva deveśaḥ krodhaṃ kṛtvā tu dussaham | jaṭāmutkṛtya mahatīṃ vīrabhadramajījanat

Als er dies vernahm, wurde der Herr der Götter—Śiva, die höchste Gottheit—von unerträglichem Zorn ergriffen. Er riss eine große Strähne seines verfilzten Jata-Haares aus und ließ Vīrabhadra hervorgehen.
