Sukta 2.1
ये स्तोतृभ्यो गोअग्रामश्वपेशसमग्ने रातिमुपसृजन्ति सूरयः । अस्माञ्च ताँश्च प्र हि नेषि वस्य आ बृहद्वदेम विदथे सुवीराः ॥
yé stotṛ́bhyo góagrām áśvapeśasam agne rātím upasṛjánti sūráyaḥ | asmā́ṃś ca tā́ṃś ca prá hí néṣi vásya ā́ bṛhád vadema vidáthe suvī́rāḥ ||
Die Weisen, die für die Sänger die Gabe entsenden, reich an Rinderherden und an der Kraft der Rosse, o Agni — führe sowohl sie als auch uns voran zum besseren Gut. Mögen wir im Vidatha das Große verkünden, reich an heldischer Kraft.
