Sukta 10.95
इति त्वा देवा इम आहुरैळ यथेमेतद्भवसि मृत्युबन्धुः । प्रजा ते देवान्हविषा यजाति स्वर्ग उ त्वमपि मादयासे ॥
íti tvā devā imá āhur aiḷa yáthāīmetád bhávasi mṛtyú-bandhuḥ | prajā́ te devā́n havíṣā yajāti svàrga u tvám ápi mādayāse ||
So haben diese Götter zu dir gesprochen, o Aiḷa: so wirst du einer, dessen Gefährte der Tod ist, an die Sterblichkeit gebunden. Doch deine Nachkommenschaft wird die Götter mit dem Opfer (havis) verehren; und auch du wirst im lichten Himmel an der göttlichen Wonne teilhaben.
