ते हि द्यावापृथिवी मातरा मही देवी देवाञ्जन्मना यज्ञिये इतः । उभे बिभृत उभयं भरीमभिः पुरू रेतांसि पितृभिश्च सिञ्चतः ॥

Transliteration

té hí dyā́vāpṛthivī́ mātárā mahī́ devī́ devā́ñ jánmanā yajñíye itáḥ | ubhé bibhṛta ubháyaṁ bharī́mabhiḥ purū́ retā́ṃsi pitṛ́bhiś ca siñcataḥ ||

Translation

Denn Himmel und Erde sind wahrlich die zwei großen Mütter, göttlich: von Geburt her gebären sie die Götter und sind hier opferwürdig. Beide tragen beide Welten mit ihren tragenden Kräften; und mit den Vätern zusammen gießen sie viele Samen, viele Keime des Werdens aus.
