सहस्रवाजमभिमातिषाहं सुतेरणं मघवानं सुवृक्तिम् । उप भूषन्ति गिरो अप्रतीतमिन्द्रं नमस्या जरितुः पनन्त ॥
sahásravājam abhimātiṣā́haṃ sutéraṇaṃ maghávānaṃ suvṛ́ktim | úpa bhūṣanti gíro ápratītam índraṃ namasyā́ jaritúḥ pananta ||
Die Lieder schmücken und nahen Indra — den Gewinner tausendfacher Beute, den Bezwinger feindlicher Angriffe, den am gepressten Soma sich Erfreuenden, den freigebigen Herrn des wohlgefügten Wortes. Zu jenem Unwiderstehlichen eilen die Verehrungen des Sängers; so wird die Rede schön, und die Gegner werden niedergeworfen.
