युद्धे अङ्गद-मैन्द-द्विविद-राक्षसयुद्धम्; कुम्भस्य प्रादुर्भावः तथा सुग्रीवेण पराभवः

तयोःपादाभिघाताच्चनिमग्नाचाभवन्महि ।व्याघूर्णिततरङ्गश्चचुक्षुभेवरुणालयः ।।।।
tayoḥ pādābhighātāc ca nimagnā cābhavan mahī |
vyāghūrṇitatarangaś ca cukṣubhe varuṇālayaḥ ||
Durch das Stampfen ihrer Füße schien die Erde zu versinken; und der Ozean, die Wohnstatt Varuṇas, geriet in Aufruhr, seine Wogen wirbelten in heftigen Strudeln.
Then by the trampling of their feet the earth sank down, the abode of Varuna (ocean) was agitated with rolling waves.
