Kumbhakarna’s Departure for Battle
निष्पपाततदाचोल्काज्वलन्तीभीमनिश्श्वना ।आदित्योनिष्प्रभश्चासीन्नप्रवाति च ऽनिलः ।।।।
niṣpapāta tadā colkā jvalantī bhīma-niḥsvanā |
ādityo niṣprabhaś cāsīn na pravāti cānilaḥ ||
Da stürzte ein lodernder Meteor herab, mit schrecklichem Dröhnen; die Sonne wurde lichtlos, und selbst der Wind wehte nicht—kosmische Vorzeichen, die sich vor dem nahenden Kampf verdichteten.
Then a burning meteor fell from the sky making a terrible sound. The sun lost his glow and the wind lost its delight।।
