कुम्भकर्णप्रस्थानम्

Kumbhakarna’s Departure for Battle

सोऽहंतवभयंघोरंवधात्तस्यदुरात्मनः ।रामस्याद्यप्रमार्जामिनिर्वैरोहिसुखीभव ।।।।

so'haṃ tava bhayaṃ ghoraṃ vadhāt tasya durātmanaḥ |

rāmasyādya pramārjāmi nirvairo hi sukhī bhava ||

Heute tilge ich deine schreckliche Furcht, indem ich jenen Rāma von böser Gesinnung erschlage; sei ohne Feindschaft und ruhe in Frieden.

The dart was like Indra's thunderbolt in form and was equal to thunderbolt, capable of destroying Devas, Danavas, Gandharvas, Yakshas and Pannagas, was like rising fire shining like the face of an enemy.
