Agni’s Testimony and Sītā’s Revalidation
विशुद्धभावांनिष्पापांप्रतिगृह्णीष्वमैथिलीम् ।न किञ्चिरभिधातव्याअहमाज्ञापयामिते ।।।।
viśuddha-bhāvāṃ niṣpāpāṃ pratigṛhṇīṣva maithilīm |
na kiñcir abhidātavyā aham ājñāpayāmi te ||6.121.10||
Nimm Maithilī wieder an: ihr Innerstes ist rein, und sie ist ohne Schuld. Du sollst darauf nichts erwidern — das befehle ich dir.
"Mythili is of untainted mind and a sinless one. Take her back without any reply, I am ordering you."
When truth is established by a legitimate and impartial authority, dharma requires acceptance without further suspicion; continued doubt becomes adharma.
Agni, after protecting Sītā in the fire, directly instructs Rāma to receive her, affirming her purity.
Sītā’s spotless integrity (niṣpāpatā) and the primacy of Satya—truth must be honored once revealed.
