The Intensification of the Rama–Ravana Duel
शराधारास्ततोरामोरावणस्यधनुश्च्युताः ।दृष्टवैवापतिताःशीघ्रंभल्लान् जग्राहसत्वरम् ।।6.100.23।।
śarādhārās tato rāmo rāvaṇasya dhanuś-cyutāḥ |
dṛṣṭvaivāpatitāḥ śīghraṃ bhallān jagrāha satvaram ||6.100.23||
Da sah Rāma die Ströme von Pfeilen, die aus Rāvaṇas Bogen gelöst auf ihn niederfielen, und ergriff sogleich in Eile Bhalla-Pfeile.
Thereafter, Raghava with glowing terrific arrows, which were like poisonous serpents split the sharp streams of arrows.
Dharma in battle includes vigilance and measured action. Rama responds promptly without panic, reflecting disciplined readiness rather than rage.
After Rāvaṇa’s arrow-rain begins, Rama prepares an immediate counter by selecting suitable arrows (bhallas).
Presence of mind and tactical restraint—Rama acts swiftly but not blindly.
