Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing

येनासौ याति बलवान् वेगेन कपिकुञ्जरः।तेन मार्गेण सहसा द्रोणीकृत इवार्णवः।।।।

Transliteration

yenāsau yāti balavān vegena kapikuñjaraḥ | tena mārgeṇa sahasā droṇīkṛta ivārṇavaḥ ||

Translation

Als jener mächtige „Elefant unter den Affen“ mit rasendem Schwung seine Bahn nahm, schien der Ozean auf eben dieser Spur plötzlich wie zu einer Rinne ausgehöhlt.
