Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing
मेरुमन्दरसङ्काशानुद्धतान् स महार्णवे।अत्यक्रामन्महावेगस्तरङ्गान् गणयन्निव।।।।
merumandarasaṅkāśān uddhatān sa mahārṇave | atyakrāman mahāvegas taraṅgān gaṇayann iva ||
Mit ungeheurer Geschwindigkeit über das große Meer dahinstürmend, übersprang er die hoch aufragenden Wellen, Meru und Mandara gleich, als zählte er sie der Reihe nach.
