Als sie ihn durch den Himmel eilen sah, schwoll eine Rākṣasī namens Siṃhikā—die nach Belieben Gestalt annehmen kann—an und begann in ihrem Geist zu sinnen und zu planen.
Seeing Hanuman speeding in the sky a demoness called Simhika who can assume any form at her will had grown out of proportion and thought on her part:
The verse contrasts dharma with adharma: Hanuman proceeds on a righteous mission, while Siṃhikā responds with predatory intent, illustrating how dharmic journeys attract adharmic obstacles.
Simhika spots Hanuman in flight and prepares to intercept him using her supernatural abilities.
Indirectly, Hanuman’s fearlessness is highlighted—he continues openly—while Simhika embodies deceit and predation.
