Sampati’s Intelligence Report on Sita’s Abduction
स मामाहारसंरोधात्पीडितं प्रीतिवर्धनः।अनुमान्य यथातत्त्वमिदं वचनमब्रवीत्।।।।
sa mām āhārasaṃrodhāt pīḍitaṃ prītivardhanaḥ | anumānya yathātattvam idaṃ vacanam abravīt || 4.59.11 ||
Als er mich sah, bedrückt, weil mir die Nahrung verwehrt war, erkannte mein Sohn — der stets meine Freude mehrt — was geschehen war, und sprach diese Worte wahrhaftig, wie es wirklich war.
'I was thinking, tormented with hunger, my son who always keeps me happy told me exactly what had happened:
Satya in reporting: the son speaks ‘yathātattvam’—as things truly are—showing that honest communication is dharmic care, especially in crisis.
Sampāti explains that his son, noticing his hunger, inferred the cause and began to narrate the incident accurately.
