(Description of Chitrakūṭa) / Rama Shows Sita Chitrakuta
This Chitrakuta mountain stands erect as if it has arisen by splitting open the earth and its peak looks graceful from every side.
Dharma is supported by a sense of śubha (auspicious order): the world is not chaos even in exile; perceiving auspiciousness strengthens truthful resolve and steadiness in righteous conduct.
Rāma poetically describes the mountain’s grandeur and the auspicious appearance of its peak from all directions.
Inspiring speech—Rāma uses elevated description to impart courage and serenity to Sītā.
