Lakshmana’s Vow to Follow Rama and the Retrieval of Divine Weapons
When Rama tried to dissuade Lakshmana with many words of consolation Lakshmana who was determined to go to the forest said again:
Dharma is shown as steadfastness in a chosen righteous duty: Lakshmaṇa’s commitment remains firm despite affectionate discouragement.
The narration describes Lakshmaṇa’s fixed decision to accompany Rāma, and that he continues to argue even after being consoled.
Determination and constancy—he does not waver once he has judged the duty to be right.
