Als Rāma seine Mutter sah—die solches Leid nicht verdiente—hingestreckt wie ein Bananenbaum und ohne Bewusstsein, hob er sie auf.
Seeing his mother who had done nothing to deserve (this) suffering and who had fallen down like a plantain tree, deprived of her senses, Rama raised her up (from the ground).
Dharma as care: even while bound to a harsh duty (exile), Rama immediately fulfills the duty of compassion and service to his mother.
Kausalya faints and falls; Rama, seeing her unconscious, raises her from the ground.
Karunā (compassion) and mātṛ-sevā (service to one’s mother).
